Box 31 Leather is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our production team. We make leather equipment for firefighters and need someone who takes pride in hands-on work, follows directions, and contributes to a positive team environment.

The right person enjoys figuring out how things go together, is comfortable using tools, and is willing to learn our production methods. Previous assembly, manufacturing, construction, automotive, or similar hands-on experience is helpful, but direct experience making leather products is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components according to order specifications and established procedures.
• Use hand tools and production equipment safely and correctly after training.
• Read work orders and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Check work for accuracy, quality, and completeness before passing it to the next step.
• Maintain a steady pace while meeting quality expectations.
• Ask questions when instructions are unclear and communicate problems promptly.
• Keep tools, materials, and work areas clean and organized.
• Work with other team members to complete orders and support daily production needs.
